Expanded metal mesh also called diamond hole wire mesh, metal expand net, is made of metal plate or rolls by punching and expanding. There are two kinds of expanded metal mesh: the first one is raised mesh which is the most common mesh; the other kind is flattened mesh which is produced after flattening the raised mesh. Expanded metal mesh has a smooth and beautiful surface and high strength. After different surface treatments, it will have higher corrosion resistance and a colorful appearance.
Fix into mortar between brick courses leaving 25mm clearance from face of brickwork. All joints require an overlap of at least 75mm. The mesh can be laid every third brickwork course for most reinforcement. An easy to fix lath provides a secure key for plaster and render applications as well as offering effective joint and crack reinforcement.
